Boy: The Groom’s Party were busy greeting all of the guests as they entered the church, and it was then that I saw her. Or at least all of her hair and her red dress.

Girl: At a friend's wedding, boy was best man and in a kilt so I drank champagne and said 'hello!'

 

Boy and Girl arrange to go for a drink a week after the wedding, Girl realises that Boy is showing off and that he can hold his cocktails much more than her.....! Then a picnic the next week, Boy is 1.5 hours late and still showing off. Girl is not impressed and writes him off. Girl's sister and friend (Cathleen, now bridesmaid) convince Girl to meet Boy 'one more time'. Boy is suffering from his birthday drinks the night before and is the Eddie we all know and love, as he couldn't muster the energy to be a show off. Boy wooed girl and the rest is history. 

 

July 2011

 

Boy gains a permanent contract at Ernst & Young. Boy joins EY basketball team. Girl travels to Zambia with work for 3 weeks, Boy gives Girl one of his favourite books, "Papillon", to read while travelling and they miss each other very much. This is getting serious.....

 

November 2011

 

Boy and Girl arrive at Boy's rented flat in Tooting to see a 'For Sale' sign up in front of the house. Uh oh. Boy moves in with Girl for 'a few months' while he looks for another place. Boy brings lots of electrical items and wires, steals wardrobe space and breaks things with mindless strength in Girl's apartment. Boy complains that Girl has too many heart shaped items in her home. Aside from this, Boy and Girl love living together and are very happy.

Boy and Girl go on their first holiday together - Paris! Boy moves into the Old School House in Bermondsey with Alex (Barney) from school. Boy enjoys a ten minute walk to work in London Bridge and city living. Boy and Girl only see each other at the weekends. Boo! One weekend is spent in Hemel Hempstead, Herts at Girl's and one weekend is spent at Boy's. Boy and Girl explore Borough Market, Maltby Street, South Bank, Shard, Bermondsey restaurants and bars and enjoy walking home from nights out in London! Boy and Girl spend more and more time together with each other's families and friends - very happy memories are made.

 

Girl becomes first female Head of House at St. Columba's College. Girl's workload, stress level and wine consumption increases. Boy visits Ireland for the first time with Girl. He has a lovely time and eats/drinks lots. Girl interprets for him when he cannot understand people. Girl's family love Boy.

Boy gets an Arsenal Season ticket. Girl learns a lot about Arsenal's season. Great. Girl and Boy visit Venice & Rome, Girl's father gives them some holiday money 'just in case you have a celebration'. Lots

May 2014

 

Boy gets another Arsenal Season ticket. Girl is not impressed and football matches weave their way into weekends again. Boy is delighted with himself and boyhood dreams are again fulfilled. July 2014

 

Work is again busier and busier for Boy and Girl. Boy gets promoted again,

this time to Management Consultant at EY. Yay! Boy and Girl visit the South

of France on holiday and Girl's father again gives some holiday money 'for

September/october 2014

 

Boy becomes a 'Hunkle' when little Beatrix is born in September. Boy is super gentle with her and Girl and Boy love Queen B so much. Girl is 30. Girl's father wonders what boy is waiting for and tells him so regularly. Boy treats Girl to a birthday mini break at Stoke Park Hotel for her birthday. Boy wakes up on the first morning there, has countless coffees and abruptly insists that Boy and Girl go on a morning walk. He becomes profusely sweaty on morning walk and then proposes on Repton Bridge! Girl says 'yes!' - Champagne all round!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2015

 

Boy and Girl start planning their wedding and love every minute. Boy and

Girl realise that trying to organise/save for a wedding AND find/save for

a house to buy together is trickier than first anticipated.......! Boy and

Girl are still happily hunting for their first home together in North

London. Girl has also still not finished "Papillon" (sorry Eddie!). Boy and

Girl set the date for their wedding on 31st March 2016 - almost 5 years to

the day that they met. See you there!
